the human performance center

at the forefront of advanced healing & movement therapy since 1999

At the Human Performance Center in Santa Fe, NM, co-founders Kele and Fred McDaniel bring over 30 years of expertise to bridge the gap between physical rehabilitation and fitness. Our philosophy is deeply rooted in a shared purpose: helping people overcome pain and achieve optimal health by harnessing the body’s innate healing potential.

Our journey is deeply personal. Between us, we’ve endured 10 orthopedic surgeries and 12 total, each one a battle of its own. From debilitating pain to the grueling process of rehabilitation, we’ve experienced the physical toll of injury and the emotional weight of setbacks. There were moments of frustration, fear, and even hopelessness—but also moments of resilience and discovery. The mental and spiritual growth we’ve gained through these trials has shaped not just how we view recovery, but how we approach helping others.

These experiences have given us profound empathy and an unshakable belief in the power of the human body to heal. We understand what it’s like to feel trapped by pain and uncertainty. That’s why we’ve dedicated our lives to creating solutions that not only address the body but also nurture the mind and spirit, recognizing the impact trauma can have on every aspect of life.

As pioneers in integrating advanced technology with proven therapeutic techniques, we’re on the cutting edge of health innovation. From PEMF and cold laser therapies to frequency-specific microcurrent and our proprietary method, Integrative Performance & Aging Therapy, we provide solutions that are both science-driven and intuitive.

With over 40,000 hours spent working directly with clients, we pair technical excellence with a friendly, approachable style. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or striving for peak performance, we meet you where you are and guide you toward where you want to be.

Transforming pain into wellness

Combining our clinical backgrounds with our physical injuries has been the driving force behind creating an efficient, effective, and mindful approach towards aging, fitness, and well-being.

We’ve been movement, rehabilitation, exercise, diet & supplementation, and mindfulness/meditation students for over 25 years.

We work to live life each day to its fullest and live an active lifestyle (cycling, strength training, yoga, hiking, and snowsports).

We have had to pioneer new protocols in recovery for ourselves to continue our active lifestyles. We’ve found specific treatment and movement protocols to re-educate the mind/body connection through healing our injuries and treating thousands of others.

We have also researched and discovered some of the most advanced healing modalities on Earth through the years. Light-based energy and subtle electrical energy-based modalities accelerate the healing response.

We often say, “We have invested in all these tools for ourselves and share them with everyone else!”

One can have no smaller or greater mastery than the mastery of oneself.
